SonoThera Ultrasound-Mediated Delivery Method Can Deliver Full-Length Dystrophin to Cells

Data from the study, currently in development for SonoThera’s DMD treatment, demonstrate the ability of Ultrasound-Mediated Delivery technology to deliver genetic drugs, allowing full-length dystrophin protein expression in skeletal, cardiac and diaphragm muscles in mouse and non-human primate (NHP) models.

The findings of the study, which are currently being developed for SonoThera’s Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) treatment, demonstrate the capability of Ultrasound-Mediated Delivery technology to deliver genetic drugs. This technology enables full-length dystrophin protein expression in skeletal, cardiac, and diaphragm muscles in mouse and non-human primate (NHP) models.
