Nghiem, l&#039;\u00e9quipe a d\u00e9couvert que la perte de dystrophine \u2013 la prot\u00e9ine absente dans la DMD \u2013 perturbe la structure et la fonction lymphatiques. Ces perturbations apparaissent pr\u00e9cocement, avant m\u00eame le d\u00e9but de l&#039;inflammation, ce qui sugg\u00e8re qu&#039;un dysfonctionnement lymphatique pourrait \u00eatre \u00e0 l&#039;origine des l\u00e9sions musculaires observ\u00e9es dans la DMD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Des images microscopiques ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les vaisseaux lymphatiques des mod\u00e8les animaux malades perdaient leur alignement normal, r\u00e9v\u00e9lant des fibres d\u00e9sorganis\u00e9es dans leurs parois vasculaires. Dans certains mod\u00e8les de DMD, le traitement par microdystrophine \u2013 une version plus petite du g\u00e8ne de la dystrophine qui contribue \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer la fonction musculaire \u2013 a \u00e9galement r\u00e9duit l&#039;inflammation nocive et la croissance anormale des vaisseaux lymphatiques.
